Need for Speed: Undercover, the latest addition in the Need for Speed series, wasn’t really a success, so Electronic Arts decided to do something totally different with its new Need for Speed games. Slightly Mad Studios seems to have the appropriate name to do something crazy with Need for Speed: Shift. Keith Munro, EA marketing director, says that this new game is focussing on realism and simulation. Your driving skills will have a big influence on the racing in the game. Need for Speed: Shift also got rid of the hip-hop style and is introducing an underground setting.
The cockpit view will allow players to look where they want by moving the right analog stick of the controller. The 3D HUD of the game will mimic the movements of the player’s head. Both casual and hardcore gamers will enjoy this new entry in the popular Need for Speed series. here’s a quote from EA’s Keith Munro:
“Need for Speed Shift is amazing and I think it will blow people away,” said Munro. “The tech behind that game, the details that only a team with such racing pedigree could accomplish, and the ability to make you feel the intensity of a race is unprecedented. I can’t wait for our fans to begin experiencing it!”
Right now we don’t have any news on a Need for Speed: Shift babe yet. Munro would like to bring his vote out for Josie Maran, and we couldn’t agree more with that vote!
